Safety First

By the end of 2024, over 123 million people were reported to have been forcibly displaced, according to the UNHCR. This means that, in the last decade, the rates of displacement have almost doubled. It also means that the refugee crisis continues to grow every year.

Safety First advocates for improved support for dedicated persons who are fleeing from conflict and persecution.

Our Aims

  1. Improve public knowledge and understanding of the causes and consequences of displacement in order to issue our call to action and advocate for greater support, both physically and mentally, for refugees.
  2. Offer our members an opportunity to get involved in advocacy work, with their research and debate resolutions on the topic being published as part of our academic Journal.
